In Gold River, players are prospectors during the heyday of the Gold Rush. At each turn, an original auction system determines who will be the first to choose a Concession or Action card from a river of cards in the center of the table. The highest bidder pays his neighbor on the right, who pays half of what he receives to his neighbor on the right, and so on. The choice of cards, on the other hand, is done in reverse order, starting with the winner then passing to his neighbor on the left, and so on. The first will be the last!!
