In Arkham Horror , investigators explore the city, visiting places, meeting people and creatures both normal and ordinary. Through these adventures, investigators hope to find the clues and resources necessary to confront and ultimately thwart the threat of the Myth.

From the start of the game, investigators seek to avoid more and more powerful monsters as they move around the city gathering the weapons, spells, clues, and other artifacts they will need.

Finally, once several portals have been sealed and the investigators have acquired valuable weapons, spells, clues, and allies, they will make one last desperate assault against the Mythos, in an attempt to close or seal the remaining portals. .
