Board Games - Cthulhu: The Rise

Darkness looms on the horizon. Strange signs began to manifest across the world: blood-speckled seas, swarms of dark figures floating in the sky, prophets overcome with visions leaving them gibbering and completely mad. The time is finally approaching. The Great Old Ones are stirring in their sleep, and your mission is to wake them!

In Cthulhu: Rise, you play as a cult leader whose goal is to awaken Cthulhu and the other Great Old Ones. But another sect is ready to do anything to summon these Masters of Chaos before you. By playing Cultist cards of different strengths and colors, you must take control of key Lovecraftian Locations (Arkham, Dunwich, Innsmouth and Kingsport) in the hope of awakening a Great Old One.

The sect that has the most power in a Place will return to the good graces of a Great Elder when he wakes up, while the members of the weakest may well leave their sanity and their souls there.
